Welcome to the Mid Surrey School Sport Partnership website
Today (22nd July) is the final day of the Mid Surrey SSP as we have known it for the last 5 years. The same applies to the other five SSP's across the County.
Work is still ongoing through Surrey County Council to maintain a structure for School Sport for next year, with a particular focus on the School Games initiative. You can find out more about the School Games at www.yourschoolgames.com , and you can also register your school if you haven't already done so.
Surrey CC hopes to employ 4 School Games Organisers (SGO's) across the county, helping schools to develop more opportunities for pupils to take part in competitive sport. It is not yet certain how the schools will be grouped under the SGO team, but it may well be that the existing SSP boundaries and clusters will figure in that.
This website will continue live for the time being, and may well come back under with a new look (a bit like Dr Who) in the Summer term.
Finally, thank you to all of you who have supported school sport, and will continue to do so in the future. I hope that you can continue to use sport and physical activity as a way of engaging students in the run up to, and beyond, London 2012
Best Wishes,
Mat
FINAL REMINDER Schools should also remember that they MUST claim their PLT funding before the end of term, or they will not be able to access it
